Description

where do anthuriums come from Anthurium ClarinerviumAnthurium clarinervium is one of the most striking foliage plants you can grow indoors. Its large, heart shaped leaves have a deep, dark green velvet texture and are mapped with a network of bold, contrasting silver white veins that become more defined as the plant matures. Compact in habit and slower growing than many Anthuriums, it rewards patience with foliage that genuinely improves with age. This is a plant that earns its place on the shelf.

Anthurium clarinervium is one of the most striking foliage plants you can grow indoors. Its large, heart-shaped leaves have a deep, dark green velvet texture and are mapped with a network of bold, contrasting silver-white veins that become more defined as the plant matures. Compact in habit and slower-growing than many Anthuriums, it rewards patience with foliage that genuinely improves with age. This is a plant that earns its place on the shelf.

Origins
Anthurium clarinervium is native to the cloud forests of Chiapas in southern Mexico, where it grows as a lithophyte and epiphyte on limestone karst outcrops at elevations between 750 and 1,150 metres. This is a cooler, more seasonal habitat than the lowland rainforest most aroids come from, which explains a few of its preferences in cultivation: it tolerates slightly lower temperatures than tropical Anthuriums, and it is naturally accustomed to excellent drainage, growing in thin, mineral-rich soil that dries between rains. Give it bright filtered light, good airflow, and a fast-draining substrate, and it will thrive.

Soil and Substrate
Replicating the fast-draining, mineral-rich substrate Anthurium clarinervium grows in naturally is the key to keeping it healthy indoors. Dense, moisture-retaining potting compost is unsuitable. Our Anthurium Potting Mix is specially formulated for excellent drainage and root aeration, making it well-suited to demanding Anthuriums like this.

Must buy!
Color: Grape
My dogs love this and so do I. It really smells like “fun grape” like a fun smelling marker. It’s gentle for their teeth and durable! They are both interested in it and take turns using it, pretty awesome!

Great for SuperChewers. Keeps my Golden busy.
Color: Bear, Color: Bear
My dog loves it and it keeps her busy for a while. She actually pulls it out of her toy basket and brings it to me when she wants it filled. I break her treats into some pieces that are easy to get and some a little harder. This way she doesn’t get them too fast or loose interest if they’re harder to get. Also, she’s had it for 3 months and there’s barely a mark on it and she’s still a puppy that chews her toys to pieces.

Mostly happy
Color: Grape
Have a 1 1/2 yr old Belgian Malinois who needs things to do. I bought these and he loved it. Bad thing, it took him 1 day to chew the rope off both grape and pineapple. The stems on the cherry were also chewed off. The rest of the toy is intact and he still loves it.
